Our Library

The college library is essential to the academic life of the student and plays a major part in improving readers' educational experiences.

Our Library is equipped with reading area to accommodate around 50 pupils at once, our library is a true learning centre. Newspapers, periodicals, magazines, reference books, and textbooks are all well-stocked in the library. Additionally, it features a collection of editorial clips on intriguing topics. The library has a huge collection of reference books on advanced fields. Over 20,000 volumes and about 7000 titles spanning a variety of advanced themes related to the studies taught by the college make up the entire collection of books in the campus library. Additionally, reprographic services including photocopying are provided by the college library. Books, magazines & journals are available for borrowing in the library. For economically weaker students, the Book Bank service is also accessible.

Membership

The membership is mandatory for all the UG and PG students as well as college teaching and non-teaching staff members. The circulation counter has the required membership form.

After the due date, late fees will be assessed at the rate of Re. 1 per day per book.

General Rules & Regulations

Library membership card is mandatory for the entry in to the library.
The student bags must be kept on the Bag Rack placed at the library entry.
Members are expected to keep quiet at all times in the reading rooms.
Cell phone use is strictly forbidden within the library.
Eatables are not allowed in the library.
No member may underwrite, rip, or otherwise tamper with any library books.
Members must not violate the shelving of the books and periodicals.
Members shall pay the fine imposed by the Librarian and shall be liable for any damage they may do to the books or any other equipment in the library.

Library Services

Membership: The College's students, faculty & non-teaching are all eligible to join the library.
Reading Hall: The library features a large reading room that can accommodate around 50 pupils on seats.
Furniture: In keeping with library standards, there is an ample amount of comfortable furniture in the library.
Book Collection: The library has over 2000+ books on a variety of Humanities, Management, Computer Applications, Sciences, Commerce, Mathematics, Political Science, Punjabi literature, English Literature and many more.
Periodicals: 14 Newspapers (English, Hindi & Punjabi)
Computer Facilities: The library has two internet-connected computers set up for faculty use.
Wi-Fi Connection: There is wi-fi available in the College Library. The users are not charged for this service.
Lending Service: Students can each check out two books from the library, while teachers and non-teaching staff can check out five volumes.
Photostat Service: Users can also obtain photostat service by paying for it.
